Patricia García Pantaleón, Esq.

Patricia García Pantaleón is an attorney licensed to practice law in New York State and in the Dominican Republic. She has worked extensively in all matters related to immigration law in the United States and has successfully represented clients at trial in criminal cases and family courts in New York City. Prior to leading her own legal defense firm, García Pantaleón & Associates, PC, Patricia served as a successful trial lawyer at a leading law firm in Queens, NY, where she represented clients in immigration proceedings and in criminal cases.

A graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School, Ms. García Pantaleón holds a Master of Laws degree, or LLM, in Criminal Law graduating with Honors. Her professional experience includes interning at the New Orleans Public Defenders Office in the state of Louisiana where she focused on studying the impact of domestic violence convictions on immigration status.

A native of the Dominican Republic, Ms. García graduated summa cum laude from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) where she received a Doctor in Laws or LL.B degree in 2006. While practicing law in her home country, she held various positions at one of the most prominent law firms in the D.R. where she handled complex, high-profile criminal and civil cases, including serving as Special Investigations Managing Attorney in the corporate fraud case at EDEESTE, an electric utilities company. She also worked for the National Victims Rights Services of the Attorney General’s Ministry of the Dominican Republic, where she supervised a team of lawyers, implemented policy, and was legal counsel for victims of domestic violence and other human rights abuses. From 2008 to 2009, Ms. García also worked as a Legislative Counsel for the Dominican Republic’s Senate and for the House of Representatives.

In her professional career in the United States, Ms. García has successfully handled a wide variety of cases representing clients in immigration proceedings before Immigration Court in the states of New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Texas. She is well-experienced with removal defense cases with application for bond, cancellation of removal, asylum, withholding of removal, 237(H)(1)(A), 212(c) and (h) waivers; family-based immigration petitions, cases of misrepresentation, fraud, unlawful entry, special visas and relief for juveniles, as well as with DACA, U-Visa, T-Visa and VAWA petitions.

When it comes to criminal law defense, Ms. García Pantaleón has ample experience working with arraignments, getting clients released on their own recognizance or by posting bail; negotiating plea deals, DWI cases, domestic violence charges, accusations of assault, larceny, drug trafficking, and possession. She specializes in avoiding convictions with immigration consequences.

In matters related to family law, Patricia has worked in custody cases, guardianship, child support lawsuits, family offenses, orders of protection and juvenile delinquency.

George Batchvarov, Esq.

George Batchvarov, Esq. received a B.A. degree from The State University of New York at Binghamton in 2007 and a J.D. degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law in 2010. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011.

Mr. Batchvarov has practiced at the trial level of the New York State Supreme Court in its various counties where he represented clients injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, construction accidents, and in cases of medical malpractice.

Mr. Batchvarov has recovered millions of dollars for his clients while handling and trying cases in some of the most difficult plaintiff venues in New York State.

Max Pierre Dubuche, Esq.

Max Pierre Dubuche is a senior attorney in our office and his practice focuses on, among other things, deportation defense, asylums, family court proceedings and Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJS) visas, and business immigration.

Max earned his JD degree from the University of the Americas in Mexico City. He is licensed to practice law in Mexico. Shortly after earning his law degree in Mexico, he attended the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to pursue a Masters in Finance. In 2015, Max moved to the United States, where he studied American Legal Systems and obtained an LLM from Syracuse University School of Law in New York. Max is licensed to practice law in the state of New York. Max speaks Creole, French and Spanish.

Based in the state of New Jersey, Sergei Orel is an attorney with extensive experience in the areas of corporate law, commercial transactions, and business law; civil litigation; real estate; intellectual property, trademark and copyright prosecution and litigation cases; as well as all aspects of immigration law, including deportation defense, asylum applications, and business and employment immigration.

Mr. Orel specializes in corporate work for U.S. and international clients, advising on issues related to governance, due diligence, and compliance. He has ample experience in drafting and executing a wide range of commercial agreements, including real property leases, rentals, service agreements, commercial and personal loans, insurance policies, terms of use and licensing. His expertise in corporate law also covers civil and contract dispute litigation before State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Orel has successfully handled a large number of cases in various immigrant and non-immigrant visa categories including business, investment, employment, family reunification, U.S. naturalization petitions, and foreign labor certifications. He has represented clients at asylum hearings in immigration court and asylum offices around the country, as well as numerous removal defense cases. Mr. Orel has defended clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals.

A significant part of Sergei Orel’s law practice and legal defense experience focuses on U.S. and worldwide trademark prosecution. His work in this area ranges from enforcement, maintenance, trademark opposition, cancellation, litigation and counseling in copyright and unfair competition. His services include drafting of licensing, non-disclosure, consent, and concurrent use agreements; cease and desist letters, work-for-hire copyrights, domain names, e-commerce, and Internet law. Trademark availability and registrability research and opinions are also offered to his clients along with handling enforcement related to all anti-counterfeiting matters.

Overall, Mr. Orel’s portfolio of cases counts with handling prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement for over 600 active trademark applications and registrations worldwide. Mr. Orel is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, English, and French; and has basic fluency in German and Polish.
